Mobil Producing Nigeria, the manager of the NNPC/MPN Joint Venture, provides annual scholarships to deserving students in Nigerian universities as part of its support for educational development and human capacity building. Eligibility requirements for ExxonMobil Scholarship

To be eligible for the Exxon-Mobil Undergraduate scholarship, you must be a Nigerian student enrolled in a Nigerian higher education institution. Other eligibility criteria for the Mobil Nigeria scholarship are listed below.

  • Candidates must have completed the SSCE or its equivalent, with at least six subjects passed at a sitting and at least five distinctions.
  • Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in their first or second year of study at any Nigerian university.
  • Students who are already receiving similar scholarship awards from other oil and gas companies are not eligible to apply.
  • Employees of Mobil Oil Nigeria plc, Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited and their dependents are also ineligible for this scholarship.

Documents and Application Requirements

Furthermore, prior to taking the qualifying test, ExxonMobil Scholarship will require shortlisted candidates to bring the original and a photocopy of the following documents for screening:

  • SSCE result or it’s equivalent
  • Evidence of current year of study
  • Evidence of admission into a Nigerian University.
  • Current University Identity Card.
  • Current Passport Photographs.
  • Evidence of State of Origin obtained from the appropriate Local Government Area.
