Max Planck Summer Internship in Germany 2023 – Fully Funded

International students are encouraged to apply for the Max Planck Summer Internship 2023 in Germany. Students from all countries can apply for fully funded internships to hone their practical skills after completing postgraduate, master’s, and bachelor’s degree programs. We invite the best and most ambitious students from all countries to apply. Biology, chemistry, computational biology, biophysics, neuroscience, and related fields should be studied.

Max Planck offers fully funded scholarships and internships to talented students who do not have the financial means to further their education. One of the fully funded internships for skill exploration is the Max Planck Program. This program will last approximately 10 weeks. It will take place between mid-June and the end of September 2023. Eligibility Requirements:

The following are the requirements for a Max Planck Summer Internship in Germany:

  • Internships are open to international students from all over the world.
  • You are a second-year bachelor’s student or higher, OR you are currently enrolled in a master’s program.
  • Bachelor’s, postgraduate, and master’s students are all eligible.
  • Your academic training must be in English, or you must have a TOEFL or IELTS score report (minimal level TOEFL: 80; IELTS: 6.5)
  • Excellent grades are required.

Documents Required for Application

All of the following documents must be uploaded during the online application submission process:

  • Curriculum Vitae (PDF file, maximum 1-2 pages)
  • Transcripts (record of study) and degree certificates (if applicable) for all completed degrees
  • Provisional transcripts for degree programs in which you are currently enrolled.
  • A qualifying document for university study (usually a high school degree, Abitur, Matura or equivalent)
  • Letter of recommendation from a referee (see information below)
  • Letter of motivation (to be typed directly in the application form, no uploading)
  • If an applicant’s academic training was not in English or German, a language certificate (such as IELTS or TOEFL) is recommended.

Selection Process:

The Program Committee will review and select students based on their grades, research experience, CV, letter of motivation and letter of reference. The committee aims to announce its decisions to applicants by the end of March 2023.

The number of internships available is limited. Pre-selected students interested in working in host labs will be interviewed via Skype, Zoom, or other means.
