The Eisenhardt Scholarship program is open to international students from a disadvantaged background.

The Eisenhardt Scholarship program has been established to support outstanding students who are interested in studying at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nurnberg (FAU). All master’s and doctoral degree programs at the university offer a wide variety of courses in English, German, or other languages. The university has an international outlook, which means that its academics and students come from all parts of the world.

Excellent students of all nationalities who are interested in following an English-language programme at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universitt Erlangen-Nrnberg (FAU) can apply for the Eisenhardt Scholarship program.

The scholarship is financed by donations from private foundations and companies through the FAU Foundation and is partially funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The scholarships are awarded for one year, with the possibility of another year’s extension.

The Friedrich-Alexander-Universitt Erlangen-Nrnberg (FAU) is a research university with a high international reputation.

The university was founded in 1743 and has since expanded to become one of Germany’s largest universities in terms of student numbers, faculty members, and academic staff. FAU offers a wide range of degree programs, including undergraduate studies, master’s degrees, and doctoral programs taught entirely in English.

Eisenhardt Scholarship program in Germany 2022-23

Students who wish to apply for these scholarships can do so by completing an application form and attaching it along with their personal statement/statement of purpose, an essay on why you have chosen this course and how you plan on achieving your goals in life after graduation from university, and any reference letters from past professors.

Students enrolled in these programs will automatically receive an invitation from their respective departments offering them a one-year accession scholarship. Students will also be offered accommodation at discounted rates during this period as well!

What are the requirements for the Eisenhardt Scholarship program?

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must:

  1. be a non-EU or non-Swiss citizen.
  2. You have completed your secondary education with good grades and obtained an excellent command of both German and English, both at B2 level (or equivalent).
  3. Have a good knowledge of the subjects to be studied (e.g., medicine).

  • A completed application form
  • A copy of your passport
  • A copy of your certificate of completion of your secondary education.
  • A copy of your diploma of completion of your tertiary education (if applicable).
