This exchange program is open to students from all academic backgrounds. Selected candidates will spend 5–6 weeks in the United States at the University of Massachusetts from late June to early August 2023. There is no requirement for IELTS or TOEFL. The SUSI Summer Exchange Program for Pakistani Students is intended for Pakistani students enrolled in a Pakistani university. SUSI is a cultural and academic exchange program for Pakistani students that provides free study in the United States through a short-term cultural exchange program.

Applicants Should Know:

The goal of the SUSI Pakistan Cultural Exchange Program is to promote mutual understanding between Americans and people from other countries.

SUSI 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

If you meet the eligibility criteria below, you can then apply to the SUSI Summer Exchange Program.

  • be fluent in English
  • be enthusiastic about public policymaking
  • be between the ages of 18 and 25, have at least one semester of undergraduate studies remaining, and be committed to returning to their home universities upon completion of the program
  • demonstrate strong leadership qualities and potential in university and community activities show a genuine interest in learning about the United States
  • have demonstrated a consistent high level of academic achievement as evidenced by grades, awards, and teacher recommendations
  • show dedication to community and extracurricular university activities
  • have had little or no prior study or travel experience in the US or elsewhere outside of their home country
  • be mature, responsible, self-sufficient, self-assured, open-minded, tolerant, thoughtful, and inquisitive
  • be willing and capable of fully participating in a rigorous academic program, community service, and educational travel
