Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for international students

The Korean government’s Global Korea Scholarship initiative tends to benefit 1478 international students coming to Korea in 2022 for undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as postdoctoral fellows and professorial brief visits.
Global Korea Scholarships program intend to give international students with opportunities to study in Korean higher education institutions in pursuit of academic degrees, enhancing international education exchange and deepening mutual goodwill between Korea and participating countries.
In 2010, the Korean Government Scholarship Programs were combined and renamed Global Korea Scholarship (Global Korea Scholarship)

Important Notice before submitting application :
- Applicants must check each university’s extra restrictions or eligibility requirements.
- Please check whether each university/department has any additional eligibility requirements.
- Please be aware of any extra restrictions that each university/department may have imposed.
- If you do not meet this requirement or do not enroll in university, your scholarship may be revoked, and you will be have to return to your home country on your own dime, despite having completed the Korean language program.
- Please check if each university/department has imposed any further restrictions (e.g., enrollment term).
- Scholars whose program is delayed (for example, returning after a leave of absence) should check to see if their degree program is only offered for a limited time.
- Scholars, for example, cannot resume their program in March if it begins in September alone.
